WOW! What a wind we had last night! Willard only had a gust that pushed 38 mph but according to the news the Bountiful/Farmington area had winds exceeding 100! Tipped over semi trucks on the freeway, blew trees down, powerlines etc. etc. They have shut down the Interstate 15 traffic until they can get the trucks all up righted and or the messes cleaned up. Centerville Mayor has called an emergency for the city! All schools are shut down.
A walk about here at the house produced these miniscule inconveniences: Blown over garbage can and all the contents scattered. A couple of smallish tree branches blown down. My tire cover on the RV was in the neighbors yard across the street from the old house. Broken window on the North side of the wood shed. Torn Tyvek on the skinning shed. Two wind chimes that probably won’t be chiming anymore. The Nativity scene in the front yard is scattered about. It looks like Mary and Joseph have a big job of cleaning up after the camel and donkey.
At the old house the cover on the chimney was blown out and jammed into the water controls of the irrigation pipe. The swing set slide is toast and the rocking/swinging bench seat blew apart (no damage, just came apart). And the cover that was tied on the air conditioner is nowhere to be seen.
I have yet to locate the “blind” that Frank gave me last week. It was on the trailer in the parking lot.
Across the street the neighbor lost their rain gutter on the front of the house.
We have not ventured out away from our warm abode, but will be heading to town for groceries soon. We understand the East winds are all around us still causing quite a “stir”.
