A week or so ago I received the latest model Bug-A-Salt fly killing machine from Lorenzo the inventor of the Bug-A-Salt. This latest model is called the 2.0 and is touted to use less salt per shot with more power to knock down the heartiest of flys. Since Lorenzo was so kind as to send me this fine weapon on his dime, I told him in an email I would conduct a non-biased test and video the results so that everyone could see if in fact this new model was better or worse than the original.
After all, how can you improve on a weapon that already kills flys like no other weapon of its kind? Since I don’t have any video editing capabilities I had to shoot two videos back to back. These are raw videos, with no pre-takes. The Bug-A-Salt 2.0 was taken out of the box, loaded with salt and went straight to the test firing room for this demonstration. I will include both videos in this writeup.
So, that was the introduction and a quick overview of my testing range and setup. Next is the actual firing of the weapons and the final test results.

Do you think the bug-a-salt will kill wasps?
i wonder if this will kill wasps.
They will. And the owner had to put a disclaimer in the booklet warning people NOT to shoot bees, wasps, spiders etc. as most of them are critters that help the environment…unlike the pesky house fly.
You would need a concealed carry permit if you had it under your shirt. You might even take it as a back-up gun on your turkey hunts. That is soooo much more powerful than 1.0.
Thanks for the great review! I really enjoyed your video. More fun products in the works.
Best,
Lorenzo
Sorry if this i a repeat I don’t know what happened to my last comment. This is to the inventor/s of Bug-a-salt.
Do you have any plans on making a Drone-a-salt? With so many drones invading people’s private property
It would be great to have a way to protect one’s privacy and having an option to knock down a privacy invading drone without the use of a firearm would be awesome. This type of a Drone-a-salt could also be use to ask the Dear eating my landscaping to move along too. The raccoons getting into my garbage, the skunks too. I see many practical uses for it. Maybe call it a Drone & Critter-a-salt?
Something to consider….
Oh and please let me know if and when there is a Drone/ critter-a-salt. I would like a few of them!!!
Thank You Kindly,
Gini, I am not the one who makes the Bug-A-Salt guns, but I will copy and forward your message to them! If you ever get back on here to read this, you can contact Bug-a-Salt via email at: support@bugasalt.com
